How Baked By Nivaaz turned her love for baking into a way to support animals and give back to her community.
13-year-old Nivaaz is a former Animal Starz student volunteer. Like many of us, she decided to start baking during the pandemic. Nivaaz decided to turn her passion into a local baking business and donate the proceeds to HSSV to give back to her community! Nivaaz's love of dogs has motivated her to help support the shelter, and to date she’s raised $4,000 for the HSSV and an additional $500 for the Farmers Protests in India. Her business first took off during the holiday season in 2020 when making Hot Cocoa Bombs was the latest trend. Nivaaz tried them for her own personal use but decided to sell them to friends and family requesting them. Through word of mouth, Nivaaz made and sold over 400 Hot Cocoa Bombs and this was just the beginning of her baking journey.
